Daddy and Me Art Night

On February 6, 2015, we had another one of our special art events! This time, it was for children, their father's and grandfathers too!  It was really a great way to share some time with the one you love. Each child started with a blank white birdhouse and finished with a true work of art. Check out the pictures below to see the transformation from start to finish!
This activity was a great way for children to share time with the ones they love. 

Birds of a feather will surely flock to these brilliantly colored bird houses.!

Kids Obstacle Course

Wow, what a turn out at tonight's Kids Obstacle Courses! 

Our first session included children ages 3 to 5 years old and we loved all of their energy! The possibilities are endless with this age group and the class really focuses on having fun, staying active, and developing their coordination and gross motor skills. 

Our second session included the maximum of 20 children ages 6-12 years old. The kids arrived with smiling faces and were motivated and ready to get to work! The instructors began with a couple warm up laps and dynamic stretching. A couple repetitions of squats, burpees, and push-ups really had this group ready to go! The obstacle course consisted of many different exercises with the instructor constantly changes directions to keep the children engaged and having fun! Class finished with a cool down and a stretch! 

Obstacle courses build important gross motor skills, develop muscles and coordination, help motor planning increase endurance, and increase confidence!
