West Deptford Township has a lot of amazing amenities for residents and tourists, and our kayak launch at the RiverWinds point is one of our most popular. The sport of kayaking has grown exponentially in our area...but what about the novice who wants to learn but doesn't know where to start?
The RiverWinds Community Center has you covered.
On Sunday, May 30th, RiverWinds, in partnership with REI Sporting Goods, is offering a FREE Kayak Demonstration for our members...AND guests! Join certified instructors as they show you the ropes on different types of craft, answer your questions, and let you get a feel for the boat while in the safe, secure Lap Pool, all while under the supervision of highly qualified lifeguards. There's never been a safer or easier way to learn this amazing facet of adventure rec!
Enthusiasts and those with a bit of curiosity are invited to join us between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 30th in the Lap Pool. Planning on trying out the craft? Wear something comfy you don't mind getting a little damp...or, if you're more daring, a little wet!
